HOW IT ALL STARTED

Hi, I'm Emily, the owner of Coastal Melbourne.

Fashion has always been a big part of my life. I've always loved putting outfits together, discovering new styles and helping friends and family find pieces that suited them. Eight years ago, I decided to turn that passion into something of my own and opened Coastal Melbourne. I started small, with a simple idea: a lovely fashion boutique with beautiful pieces and friendly, personal service. Like any new business, there was plenty to learn along the way, but I genuinely enjoyed building the store step by step. Seeing customers come back and recommend us to their friends made all the hard work worthwhile. Looking back now, I'm incredibly proud of how far we've come.

EIGHT YEARS OF COASTAL MELBOURNE

Over the past eight years, Coastal Melbourne has grown into much more than I imagined when I first started.

One of my favourite parts of running the store is choosing the collections and finding pieces I think our customers will genuinely enjoy wearing. I love fashion, but for me, running Coastal Melbourne has always been just as much about the people. I still enjoy helping customers, answering questions and hearing what they think about their purchases. We try to keep everything friendly, straightforward and personal, just as we did when we first opened. Trends may change and our collections continue to grow, but the way we look after our customers hasn't changed. That's something that's very important to me and always will be.
